Unimogs in Agriculture



The Mercedes Benz Unimog has proved itself in Agriculture a thousand times over. With the ever increasing strain on Agriculture, the Unimog has the answer to efficiency, cutting overhead costs and streamlining farms and ranches, thus making them more profitable.

The Mercedes Benz Unimog is a universal 4-WD tractor designed to power your equipment like never before possible. The Unimog tractor can plow, plant, cut and bale hay or crops, and still pull trailers at highway speeds. All with the ride and comfort of a fine pickup truck!

The Mercedes Benz Unimog is available from 50HP to 245HP and can do the work of two tractors at the same time and much much more. The Unimog can be equipped with PTO, Three point, and hydraulics on both ends. You can get a three way dump bed and haul dirt, rocks, or whatever you need to haul and dump it off either side or to the back.

The Mercedes Benz Unimog is truly the most versatile, economical , and reliable Ag tractor/truck for farmers and ranchers that can and will be used the year around to handle any and every task around the farm or ranch.


Unimogs in Light Rail Transit



The current worldwide boom in modern Light Rail Systems, todays equivalent of the trolley, has created a demand for flexible, fast road rail vehicles for all types of uses. The Unimog with it’s equal speeds backward and forward, axles that fit the rails and optional torque converter has become a Light Rail Standard.

Unimogs are equipped with a variety of Cranes, Aerial Devices, Specialized Re-Railing Equipment to perform maintenance tasks, emergency response, and disabled LRV recovery. Unimogs can be equipped with the specialized couplings systems used by LRV systems. In the event of a disabled train the Unimog can be rapidly dispatched over roads, translate to the rails at the site of problems, couple on to the disabled train and tow it clear, allowing the system to resume full operation.

Since many systems include long tunnel sections, the Unimog is routinely equipped with exhaust after-treatment to ensure safe working environments while underground. Unimogs can be found on transit systems throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. It's unique ability to move over the highway system at speed, and then operate on the rails as a bi-directional rail vehicle, make the Unimog the LRV specialist.


Unimogs for Wild Land Fire Fighting



Unimogs have been used in America for almost two decades as the "ultimate" wild land fire engine. Currently, Unimogs are operated by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service and other agencies throughout the west. The Unimogs proven mobility allow it to take a crew and water where other engines cannot go. Combine this with a front dozer blade and you have a wildfire tool that is truly unique in it's effectiveness.

Unlike conventional wildfire trucks, the Unimog can be used year round with only a change of attachments. All models of Unimog can be found in wildfire service. Currently, the Bureau of Land Management operates the U1200, U140L, U2450L/38 models, having retired all of their U900 models. The Forest Service operates U900 and U2150L models.
